I have several kick ass stories about government stealing my land several times, and now I just refuse to own anything.
Once in Texas when a nearby municipality forcibly annexed my property, and in Washington state my 10 acre spread was rezoned without my permission or any notification that a rezoning was being done. I had no means to stop it either time. I sold them both.
Now I own nothing - no house, no car, no land; no nothing that government can seize. Which has turned out to be a very good idea because now I can escape Seattle by giving the landlord 30 days notice and going on my way out of this state with the least amount of financial damage inflicted by government.
You don't own anything in this country, you just get to make the payments on it.
I also have a very cautionary tale of how my mother needed nursing home care in her last years which could only be paid for by state Medicaid. The state forced her husband to sign over the title to their little country house, one of his cars, and any savings or valuables that were in their possession. The state cleaned him out of any little thing they had earned in their lives in lieu of state payment for her Medicaid costs. It's fucking criminal and they were in their 80's.
Obamacare was a clusterfuck fiasco all of its own, that made a horrible problem into a quagmire of state laws and federal requirements that Einstein couldn't unravel.
My point is that government in the US at every level has awarded itself the right to seize your stuff. Civil asset forfeiture, tax liens, required registrations and taxations and insurances. Failing to comply with any part of their puzzle gets your property confiscated in lieu of compliance. They will take your shit and you can fuck right off.
Which is greatly tied into the global financial system of perpetual debt and the interest perpetually paid into the corporate/government/financial system so that no capitol assets can ever be accumulated by the average plebe. It's indentured servitude.
Most people don't have the time to sift through what the government can and cannot do. There are trillions of pages on this stuff. We need minimal government and minimal laws. Putting cameras on your property and coming in with guns is tyranny. Citizens should be able to start blasting without any issues.
That's usually how things start out. Then somebody abuses something that's unregulated to an extent that requires a new law. Repeat over hundreds of years and you're back to trillions of pages.
I wonder if it's illegal to troll the government if you find one of these cameras. Like what if you just put a giant banner with goatsee in front of the camera.
Also, how are these cameras powered? if they're strapped to trees how are they able to keep recording indefinitely? solar?
They used “game cameras” which are often used for tracking when wildlife is passing through and most are either battery powered or have small solar panels that can keep them running for some time. Most are motion activated and take images when they see movement.
Granted this use is really fucked up and this definitely has implications outside of farming
Spread a rumor in the community that this is the perfect spot for teenagers to go and partake in activities. Then launch a legal assault about the government having days of CP recorded on their servers.
Who cares about illegal? Stage a beheading with some friends, run around naked pretending to be a chicken, eat live worms in front of it, or if you don't want to deal with this stuff just shoot every camera you find and go outta your way to find 'em,
There is no private land in the US anymore. The government leases some parts and blames problems on the free market.

"private land"
there is no private land when there's a property tax.
That awkward feeling where you have more private ownership of your house in bloody UK compared to US.

Blasting the cameras on their own property anyway, hell yes. Cameras don't have rights ... (yet)

Most people would just vandalize it by opening fire on it.
This is worst than China in a way, because it is done without warning.
Would reveal too much evidence of Antifa and their narratives cronnies antics i guess.
