WC3 is indeed an amazing game, although I would argue some of the trends started in there. Orcs are humanized in that game, we see there are bad orcs and good orcs, some want peace, some want war and power, etc. this is different from the traditional DnD and LotR style orcs which are just evil, warmongering savages.
