I think Anna Merlan's greatest hit was the time she wrote "'IS THE UVA RAPE STORY A GIGANTIC HOAX?' ASKS IDIOT" attacking Robby Soave of Reason. He responded defending himself in the comments and then she unleashed this gem:

Instead, I think, as I made clear above, that you're piggy-backing on the work of other people who are calling Erdely's story into question without a single shred of evidence. You don't get brownie points for saying IF the story is true THEN UVA should have called the cops. That's what any decent human being would suggest.

4 days later, Rolling Stone retracted the story.

They turn into an-caps whenever one of their captured corporations are threatened.

People who hate Trump bought their own bullshit and actually believe that anyone that supports Trump literally worships him and believes everything he says. They think they're shattering your entire worldview if they can demonstrate Trump isn't a flawless businessman

Consequently Lindsay's other response to this is poignant that this woman is engaging in the anarchist tactic of 'mid-level' violence, where she is deliberately placing herself in a situation where her opponent's inaction makes them look weak but if they actually did anything about it they'd look as if they overreacted and they'd get to cry fascist.

Reddit is acting like they just found a cure for cancer to no surprise. How can we continue to live in a country that's made up of 10-20% of these people?

The vast majority of people just shut up and go along to keep their jobs and avoid becoming a target. We didn't adequately prepare younger generations to stay on watch for this Marxist bullshit and we're paying the price.

They weren't traumatized by Charlottesville, that's all an act. It was a major victory for them. The left has been trying to shift the focus to 'right-wing domestic terrorism' for years, trying to make it out as if fringe KKK nuts were the greatest threat to the country. Trying to make it so anyone tied to those beliefs were subject to maximum extrajudicial punishment.

'Coincidentally' they have also been trying to portray standard conservative views once held by mainstream Democrats not even twenty years ago as outright white supremacy. The goal is forcible and ultimately violent suppression of conservative ideas with the justification that they're exactly the same as burning crosses on a black family's lawn in the 1930s.

That's where the selective part comes in. They only crow about how racist the flag is when they can use it to shut up people they don't like. They won't say anything about it otherwise.

And clearly they haven't gotten tired of it yet, they've just double downed on it over and over again. Calling things racist at this point is the entire foundation of the progressive movement. If they didn't have it their ideology would fall apart. It is nearly their justification for everything. Unfortunately it still works.

Being called a racist used to mean something, and being a 'racist' used to mean something. They were shunned by society because their views and actions were abhorrent. The left has been abusing that societal impulse as a political tool for years and now they apply it to everything. They'll call you a 'racist' for waving an American flag because one guy they didn't like somewhere did it and they still expect society to treat you like you were burning crosses on somebody's lawn.

I don't understand people who cede symbols and objects just because people they dislike use it, especially when it's the flag of the FUCKING COUNTRY YOU LIVE IN.

Because the goal is to associate as many people as they possibly can with 'white supremacists' so they can then selectively enforce it on wrongthinkers. One supposed white supremacist waves a flag somewhere, they declare it Cancelled and now they get to call anyone they don't like with an American flag a white supremacist and use the flag as proof. It's the slimmest of justifications but it's just barely enough for cowards and sycophants to decide it's 'controversial' and follow along with the struggle session.
