Disneys are hard to avoid where I live. Dezerland is cool though.

An engineering friend of mine points out that almost all tech is late because the companies don't want the drop in jobs and depression that happens because of it. It has been getting to the point everything is about to snap. During the Bush II era there was hope the snap would happen, and we could move on. As you said, they held on even harder which means the snap back to where we need to be will be even harder.

Same friend: lawyers exist because other lawyers exist.

I had a lawyer explain it to me.

"My job is to defend my argument, not agree with it."

They're hired to defend an argument, and will do so until the money is gone.

Sarcastic Essay on Shockedness

Write a sarcastic essay about how shocked you are

I am absolutely shocked, just shocked, to find out that the world keeps spinning and people keep doing the same things they've always done. Who could have predicted that?

It's truly a surprise to me that people are still getting into arguments on the internet and that politicians are still more concerned with their own interests than those of their constituents. Who could have guessed that power and ego would continue to corrupt even in the face of overwhelming evidence that it's not in the best interest of the people they are supposed to serve?

And don't even get me started on the continued existence of injustice and inequality. I mean, it's not like history has shown us time and time again that these issues are pervasive and difficult to address. No, I'm just flabbergasted that they still exist in our society.

But perhaps what shocks me the most is that despite all of this, people still have hope. They still believe that things can change and that the world can be a better place. I mean, it's not like we have centuries of evidence suggesting otherwise.

In conclusion, I am shocked, just shocked, that the world continues to be a predictably flawed and imperfect place. But hey, at least there's still hope. Or something.

Ilhan Omar will be kicked out of the foreign affairs committee. She's trying to get onto the defense committee. Expect a lot of articles about that.

I couldn't find it either. I got it from a public library and the library website isn't working.

That was a wonderful story.

Side note: Japanese culture believes everything has a soul, so a robot is seen kindly. It's in stark contrast to European beliefs where only humans do. Robot dog vs the terminator.

I did not know that. eBay has the games for $10. If I find them for lower I will purchase.

I had to look up the game. I may buy it to see how it lives up.

A reading of the Hobbit radio drama by people with thick Midwestern accents. Imagine gandalf sounding like John Wayne.

Just the games made by Peter Molyneux alone would be nice. Populous, Black and White, and some random other would be amazing to play again.

I've listened to the Midwestern edition of the Hobbit, and have every book written by the Tolkiens I could find. I skipped this show.
