There has to be a rule or regulation they can use to eliminate the thing they don't like

The reason for this is that "power" has been more and more removed from the common man's hand, leading to him being unable to remove the thorns from his own palm. A simple example is that I can't just smack the shit out of the local loudmouth talking shit to shut him up like for most of human history, the government/law has removed my power to do so. So I am left with this thorn in my hand and am forced to instead petition the government to use the power it has taken from me to do so instead.

You can see this across so many corners of society. You can't fix your own machine, it has to be a Certified Tech. You can't sell food, you need FDA Approval. On and on.

So people have forgotten that they have the power to begin with, and instead remain paralyzed by the real consequences there can be to use it. Its why the CEO shooting last week was so wildly popular, because it resonated with everyone by subverting that feeling of helplessness.

"Due to their religion" makes it sound like some sort of persecution, when the religion in question was Voodoo which if you believe in it is pretty capable of what they are being accused of doing.

The rest of your point is still valid, but that's a very key detail about this story. You can't be a Voodoo type people and then get mad when people think you did Voodoo type shit to them.

Its why superstitious and savage religions were stamped out and condemned for centuries, because they always lead to things like this which is anathemic to basic civilization.

Legal words have specific meanings for a reason, and part of that reason is because of the line between connotation and denotation.

Journos are used to abusing that line to say one thing and mean another, and then Nose On to say they meant the other when called out.

This is the inevitable end when they get anyone willing to fight back with gusto. Their charade crumbles instantly because everyone knows what they are doing.

Unfortunately KIA, and most of our side in this "culture war," is replete with Former Lefties so the consensus always has to be "poor thing, I'm so glad you are with us now." Funnily, its the same invasion tactics used by Lefties everywhere else, to prove how little changed they are.

And, much like Clott Adams, they get really mad if you don't just totally ignore them revealing their own lack of credibility or principles prior. You just are supposed to say "BASED" and clap along to them being on our side now and saying things we want to hear.

I'll agree on that. The actual gameplay portion was horrific to me and I just could not get around it, even if the writing between those sections was quite good.

And considering most people only talk about the story, and the card game, I think its very much a case of people just mindlessly completing it as filler content to get to more dialogue.

I'm sure some people enjoy it plenty, but I can't imagine I'm in the small minority that find it terrible.

Good to know. I've only played like 1-2 hours of 2 and 3 and hated my time with both, so I'm not well versed in them in any way.

But I was at least aware of their existence before 3 came out and suddenly everyone I know was a Witcher fan.

So your entire basis was "look at this sad picture, let's throw away all laws and reason."

I'll grant you this, its a simple position that dodges most of the obvious problems by being literally too simplistic.

Considering how fucking bad most of the arguments in support of the Gays was, I will absolutely hate on the people who both fell for and argued that shit.

You don't get to just go "oops my bad, I didn't think about this at all while I was screaming hate in your face" years later when the consequences come home to roost in the obvious manner everyone you were fighting said they would.

Its almost more pathetic how many people try to leave their sinking ship and suck up to the side they used to try to shank, and then act like their principles or opinion should ever be worth something again.

I was certainly filtered by 2 back in the day (long before 3 existed) and its very clunky tutorial trying to explain you the controls. I can only imagine how bad 1 was if that was the improvement.

But that's part of it being slav jank. Basically every game made there in that time frame was known for being hell to play in some way (Witcher controls, Stalker bugs) by worth it for the wierd world it gave you.

Most "fans" of the Witcher games haven't even played the first two games in the series. Until Witcher 3 they were pretty niche slav jank titles no one really talked a whole lot about.

Genuinely shocked it took this long. It seemed they were really willing to wait it out to deny us the victory as it has been dead the entire year without a single word.

I bet that 95% off sale was a last chance for them to see if it was worth the life support and even that low price couldn't pull any real money.

Most of the ones in my neck of the woods advocate cars, farming, and garage shop type activities (wood working or similar) and will loudly declare those the only proper things a man should have as a hobby.

There is probably a large divide here between trad right guys online, and trad right guys out in the world, because most of the aforementioned men I know barely use a computer to spread their message to anyone. These are not philosophers, they don't read beyond the Bible, they are a living stereotype in a lot of ways. But they are very loud in Church and everywhere else in the community about these things.

Nothing against those options, for the record, but if you don't inherit a shit ton of tools or land from your father you aren't getting into them. Speaking as someone currently waiting for his father in law to pass so I can get his bandsaw/lathe in my own garage.

Truly a man we never came close to deserving.

I'll consider that a concession of "its okay when we do it" and see myself out.

Adamrises 11 points ago +11 / -0

The traditional right mostly still yearns for a world that has long since ceased to exist and they just can't let it go.

Like, guys can't just have hobbies like "working on their car" because cars aren't made the way they were when they were younger and are impossibly more complicated and expensive now. Not to mention Obama killing off the used car market and making beaters cost a shit ton to begin with. So your starting investment is much higher, you're much more likely to fail, and you lose a shit ton more when you do.

But that's the kind of "acceptable" hobbies they push instead without realizing why those aren't as appealing anymore.

My first foray into the world of politics was Hillary Clinton trying to ban video games in the 90s, so I think its always been a "mutual alliance" on both ends of this equation between the Left and Right.

Its because ME2 was a lot of people's favorites, either for being a lot tighter in the gameplay department or because of the squadmate stories being quite good (with a few really good newcomers). Not to mention the Illusive Man killing it VA wise.

The overall story of ME2 being trash gets forgotten in people's memories until you actually have to go back and replay it. Which means it gets hyped up well beyond its flaws.

GTA6 has the immense power of GTAO behind it.

It cannot be overstated how many middle/high school boys grew up obsessed with that garbage and will be looking for that new hit right there. I doubt they even give half a shit about the story and girl in it beyond "she hot."

You mean the position she got by being a black woman, on the merit of being a diversity hire, and then became good at her job by being surrounded by the Kings of the Grift for a long time?

Because I was there when she was a Leftie making a doxxing website and she was not good at anything until years later after a lot of "mentoring" from Right wing heads. Except for pissing off everyone through sheer idiocy I suppose.

So once again, give blackies and women free rides and benefits for being those things is good if they are on your side. It was never about the principle, you just wanted them to work for you instead.

1
Adamrises 1 point ago +3 / -2

And I'd rather we stop propping up Diversity Hires and treating them as more special because of it.

But I guess most people weren't against the Left doing that out of principle, they were just against it because it wasn't on their side.

Adamrises 27 points ago +27 / -0

If everybody just did whatever made women moist, then we'd just end up like the blacks. An endless conga line of thugs, criminals, and apes that can only exist because someone else is actually out working and keeping things running somewhere. And eventually we'd run out of somebody else's money and running civilization.

Trad types are only marginally better than hedons because they are at least trying to keep society running, even if completely naive and often misguided about it.

There are thousands of white guys with the same message as her, she only gets any support because she is in fact black and a woman which turns around and becomes the only reason you hear her message getting whatsoever in the first place.

The support of her doesn't get anything actually changed, it just tells companies "people will tune in more for black women saying it" and keeps the identity politics train running on the Right as well.

The KIA split had a lot more people. Even if only a fraction of us moved over at that time, it was still a huge number of people and plenty enough to run a sub. If the same number moved from here to a new .win, there wouldn't be enough daily posters to even keep people's attention coming back.

Same with, a highly emotional and loud schism has a lot more power to move people somewhere else (both hatred of Bane/Shad/etc like the first, and then being able to say niggerfaggot here) instead of a quiet revolt move over like this would be.

6
Adamrises 6 points ago +6 / -0

Considering Antonio is the one who made KIA2 on Reddit, hired Dom there in the first place, and then didn't mod himself over here when this started, I think a deliberate decision was made to prevent that from happening to begin with.

The great part about unions is that it prevents anyone else from ever getting to enter the industry so the same 5 guys can get paid extra due to low supply of skilled workers!

Its working exactly as intended. Especially for Troy "biggest name in the union" Baker's growing resume.
