I disagree to a point. I like to think guys (generally) have understood rules when it comes to fights. Two guys in the street fighting over rep probably won't strike below the belt, go for the eyes, pull hair, etc. Obviously if you're fighting for your life anything goes.
Average fights between women though, in the fights I've seen on video and the few I've seen in person, will launch into hair pulling, scratching, and fight like...well cats. Now I agree that any given punch will be weaker than a mans, but they'll draw blood way earlier than any fistfight I've seen between two guys.
But that's exactly why they resort to such feral tactics, they know their striking power is ineffectual in the extreme.
