That's downplaying it.
It took the "child raping" United Nations threatening to pull funding to have them finally take NAMBLA out of their ranks in the 90s.
NAMBLA was a founding member, btw.
Its literally on NAMBLA's wikipedia page. They didn't even bother scrubbing it.
That's likely why it still exists. Anyone who knows about NAMBLA knows everything they need to from the name and learned it all before the internet. No one is looking at the page.
For those young enough to just learn about them, they aren't even going to know NAMBLA exists short of a rare rerun South Park about them. And they won't even consider that possibly is a real group.
