To be fair, he was more complex than the standard Marvel villain. His motives had more nuance than "person with same powers as hero, but evil" or "use big beam of energy in the sky to kill everyone."

I honestly think Killmonger is one of the better marvel villains in the MCU. Nowhere near Thanos, but far from forgettable.
