There were a couple in the trailer. Pretty sure they die though.

If you watch carefully scattered among the effiminate stature of the main cast there are some more masculine characters. They do not appear to be front and center characters though.

It's Japan, so if they don't die, they exist purely to be overly-emotional and end up being saved by women. Like Snow in FF XIII.

Honestly one of the reasons I've never liked FF.
