I think that's part of the reason why it might be higher than people expect. When you segregate approval by gender, the divisions are startling. For example, why were there statics that Trump had 20% approval among blacks? Because when blacks are broken down by gender, black men give Trump a 45% approval rating, and black women give Trump a 2% approval rating.
Trump represents a kind of brash, confident, masculinity. He embodies a confident strong-man. Men who might be attracted to that masculinity. He effectively has an edge with some gays. Black men have had genuinely toxic forms of masculinity being thrown in their face for decades now, and Trump is just a less toxic form of what they're used to.
On the other hand, the people Trump does worst with are entitled and privileged women who see the state as their current protector, while they themselves are surrounded by weak men. They want security in the form of more provisions by their sugar daddy, which is what the government effectively becomes. Upper-middle-class unmarried suburban white women embody that privilege, but so do all economic levels of black women due to racial protection racketeering by Democrats.
Neither understand that the government can't be a good provider, and what they need more than anything is a strong man for themselves. The only way that can happen is if Trump breaks the dependency and entitlement system they are used to, so that men can step in and take their natural place as providers.
This kind of confirms by suspicions that something has gone horribly wrong in they gay community, and that a swath of gay men aren't gay, but are actually straight men who have been conditioned to have a warped understanding of how to value themselves, and have tried to embody femininity to the point of homosexuality as a way to give themselves social and sexual value.
It's a long argument to explain, but to summarize it: straight men find femininity attractive. Gay men find masculinity attractive. If a gay man finds femininity attractive, he may not be as gay as the thinks.
As a result, I think there's a swath of genuine masculine attracted gays that find a masculine persona like Trump attractive, even without him being a provider to them. I'd argue that if it weren't for the amount of psychological abuse and conditioning in gay communities that promotes anti-Trump propaganda as a moral & social value, and if it weren't for the fact that there were a swath of the gay community that was made up of confused straight men, most of the gay male community would be supportive of Trump.
I do not think they find femininity attractive as much as they settle for feminine guys. There was an episode in True Blood where the sister of the gay black dude was at a party with her brother and was saying something like "I'm watching my brother hit on the straightest guy here". And I think that is the life of the average gay guy, they are attractive my manly men and they strive to be manly but many of them are not in fact manly and they simply settle do to their limited options.
I think that just re-enforces my point, and it's part of my larger argument about the evolutionary purpose of gays.
Gay men are attracted to masculine men. But why are gay men effeminate? Because gay men are attempting to attract masculine men, who are typically straight, and attracted to femininity.
So what kind of gay man is attracted to femininity? A straight one. That's my concern. Low status straight men, being effeminate to gain status and value, and still being attracted to femininity.
I dunno about the gay population, but I think that you've identified the biggest driver in the "trans" population. There is no other way for them to be superior to women. Their entire psychology is oriented around women, but they feel defeated and disconnected.
The only way to meet their need to master women, is to become one - because only women are allowed to control womanhood.
It's not a far off thing to consider. If you feminize men, who already idolize women innately to some degree, and you tell them that women have innate value and men have no innate value, the fastest way for a low status man to gain value is to put on a dress and call himself a woman.
Yeah. It's a forever-alone style sexual union. A sexual union played out in one body, because there's no ther way for them. Or because it seems like a better, more atonomous way.

I don't think it is. I think that there's actually lots of regular gay people who are gay, and that homosexuality serves a vital evolutionary purpose.
I think the problem is that some straight men are being effectively abused by social institutions.
Didn't a majority of white women voters vote Republican in 2016? I don't think it's women so much as black women specifically.

And if you notice the last few months, there's been a lot of articles like this one trying to convince everyone that those same female voters suddenly love Biden and hate Trump.
Everyone wants what's best for themselves. Killing all men in a gendercide is not good for anyone.
