I think its been obvious for a while now that either A) they don't care and are willing to chase clout or B) they are getting better funding from someone else that makes this more profitable.
'Member when Hurt Locker winning was a huge controversy over beating Avatar? A movie so fake Vets rountinely called it out, barely ran at any theaters and was the perfect storm of shitty drama called "Oscar Bait" beating out (at the time) one of the biggest movies ever that was breaking records and beloved by most of the world?
I do, seems people after that forgot what a sham the Oscars were and went back to caring.
All because the mediocre director had a vagina. Renner was pre-Hawkeye so nobody knew who he was, they had to get Colin Farrell to talk about him because he starred in SWAT which Renner had a forgettable role in.
TFA but no RoS or TLJ. I guess it really was a failure.
The only movie out of those I saw in the cinema was Furious 7. I saw Age of Ultron way after the release with a friend and the rest I either didn't care about or didn't like.
The stars of movies people actually watch will not be affected.
You think companies still care about the bottom line? From all appearances, they are ready to set their own buildings on fire for the CCP and BLM.

What makes you think that?

Avengers: Endgame
Star Wars: The Force Awakens
Avengers: Infinity War
Jurassic World

Are you suggesting Brie Larson's Captain Marvel isn't going to lead the MCU to new heights????
How do you report a post for hate speech on here...
The top box office will be whatever the next set of brainless action movies will be, as it has always been since time immemorial.
My favorite movies of the 2010s aren't on either list.

Like Avatar wasn't another stupid pile of evil colonialist crap.

On that list I only saw the 1st Avengers in theatres.
