It begins,
"Someone had to stand up to the bully in the White House and say, no, you cannot abuse your power, you cannot abandon our allies, and you cannot do Vladimir Putin's bidding from the Oval Office."
(the weed in SF must be really really good)
Then it goes on to say,
"That's why I'm writing to ask you to join the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) with a contribution of $15, $25, $35, or even more if you can today."
"Republicans are shattering fundraising records with the RNC raising $215 million to the DNC's $82 million...and Trump continuing to raise record hauls in 2020."
(wah wah waah)
Will someone please hand Nancy a hankie to wipe away her lefty tears? Poor democrats, they can hardly pay the hairdresser.
The best part is the enclosed Personal Reply To Speaker Nancy Pelosi form, with a paid return postage envelope.
Nancy, you'll be hearing back from me! But there sure as hell won't be a check in that envelope. Thanks for being one of the most inept corrupt politicians America has ever seen.
During our primary I kept getting these campaign ad cards in the mail attacking a local republican running for the state legislature, and it went on talking about how he'd show up armed at protests to "intimidate local activists fighting for racial justice" or some bullshit.
It was one of the very few campaign ads I'd ever seen that was actually effective, but not in the way the person who made it wanted it to be I'm sure.
I won't Fedpost here, but suffice to say I'd vote for someone to do a lot more than "stamp the boot down" on the "peaceful" protesters; and I don't feel a tinge of guilt for thinking that.
We are where we are because we were unwilling to make slight course corrections when that was all that would have been necessary to prevent us from hitting the iceberg. Now that it's directly in front of us the options left to us are more extreme. We have nothing but our own inaction to blame for it.
