Leftists have intentionally destroyed our language.
How can you execute people who are viciously attacking you? When you're on the ground being beaten? This is the exact opposite of what execution means.

Nah man, you're misremembering. Historically, executioners were expected to have to defend themselves from the condemned. That's why they wore hoods.
