Oh boy, here we go again, with people blatantly ignoring how the property being destroyed is usually what allows people to maintain livelihoods. It essentially IS their lives.
People trade a chunk of their time on earth laboring for someone else to pay for that property. Therefore, that property represents a certain length of time which the owner worked to pay the cost to acquire it, and allowing it's destruction is no different than allowing the theft of the owner's time and labor.

It's the excuse they're going with so they can justify arresting people for using lethal force to defend their property from the mob.

I'd rather have a grocery store in my neighborhood than some black thugs, so yes property matters more than some lives.
