It would almost be better if dad went "Law Abiding Citizen" on everyone involved.
Even dropping the boy into "the system" would probably be less fucked than what's happening now.
A great movie except for the chickened out ending.

Also it's funny that the movie had low scores on review aggregation sites yet I've only heard people talk about positively. Yet some of those SAME PEOPLE still act like RT/Metacritic scores are valid. Fucking stupid.
I've actually been thinking they should remake John Q with the son being forced to go trans by the mom and the dad busting in to the hospital to take things into his own hands. Leave the main cast black too, it will end up exposing just how many blacks are not down with the trans movement at all.
