There's a huge unsaid difference between the two:
The Christians throwing away or burning books like Harry Potter do so as a forward-facing ideology. Their reasoning is very simple: these books promote the dark sides of Man and are an affront to the perfect being and goal that is God. They seek self-improvement and growth.
The Troomers are the opposite. They've fallen into a spiral of endless degeneracy and cannot handle any criticism. The act of disagreeing with their cult is an act of violence against all trannys and must be crushed with an appropriate violent reaction. They seek comfort and acceptance.
We can pretend that the two are the same but the truth is that they couldn't be further apart.
