The issue was that it was contained within the GOP, which was ultimately just a device to trap and squash any genuine attempt to salvage the nation.

I've seen it happen several times now. First with Ross Perot, and then with the Tea Party, and now with the MAGA movement.

The GOP is not salvageable.
