Since you're apparently an advocate for this approach, explain to me what accelerationism accomplishes when it's key component fails to materialize. As I understand it accelerationism hinges on the idea that "once it gets bad enough everyone will throw a big hissy fit and start murdering all of my enemies/fixing everything that's wrong with society because it's just so bad and they can't take it anymore". We've crossed many thresholds that should have triggered that sort of reaction already. What happens instead is that people simply adapt to the new terrible conditions in which they find themselves. But no, surely if America descends into becoming a third world shithole it will definitely kick off a big civil war that fixes everything or whatever. It won't just mean that America stops being a nice place to live and everyone just sort of continues shuffling forward but just with a much lower quality of life.
So when the big fix doesn't happen, when people don't rise up and do whatever it is you're expecting? What then? What will accelerating have achieved? You'll just have spent time advocating to make my country a worse place to live and for no goddamn reason other than to satisfy your own vanity. I understand the impulse to advocate for accelerationism but if you can't think it all the way through past that impulse then you're the idiot here, not me. So let's have it, what makes you so sure accelerating the decline of Western civilization will be a net positive?
