We were only about 2-3 hours from Philly, so their quality was usually quite high wherever we went. I am now on the west coast, and these faggots don't know the first thing about making them. My first attempt at finding a place that made them was a disaster, and nowhere since then has been any better. Big chunks of cut meat, weird sauce, grilled sandwich bread like Texas toast, etc. All terrible. All insulting affronts to a cheesesteaks. Same for cannolis and eclairs, now that I think of it.
