Just curious. I don't doubt we all do it to some degree, but I wonder where people draw the line, if at all.

If it is coming from a person who already has a reputation for huge bias or bad takes i.e. vaush/destiny/hasan, or someone who has demonstrated an inorganic change in their behavior i.e. Jordan Peterson/Tim Pool/etc. I am almost automatically going to ignore what they say. The reason I do this is because it is far more likely that they will attempt to manipulate me rather than inform me.
Once in a blue moon, they might be right about something, but it is likely that their correct take is something that I could have found in another less repulsive source.
That is not to say that you should fall into an echo chamber and be totally unaware of other points of view, but patterns are patterns for a reason.
Genuinely curious, what did Tim Pool do to change? I listen to him a lot and think he has a pretty good take on most stuff even if it’s kind of sanitized for the masses. Feels like he was more middle of the road but has moved right in recent years.
He had a closed doors meeting with Netanyahu where he would not disclose what went on behind those doors. After this event, he received significant criticism for this move, and has been repeatedly dodging any hard hitting criticism of the state of Israel. It's a big change in his supposed "fence sitting" behavior.
Are you referring to the meeting that Bibi had with all the political influencers where they asked everyone to simp for Israel? I’ll admit Tim is a little too pro Israel for my liking, but he has openly talked about that meeting before and stated what Bibi asked of the folks.
Last fall when he accused Candace Owens of somehow being partially responsible for crazy people attacking his compound was when I unsubscribed from all of his channels and muted him.
