Please keep in mind that Saturday is usually a day off for the military, and for every plane or helicopter you see doing a flyover, there is a large contingent of maintenance and admin staff coming in to the squadron hanger to make sure that plane or helicopter is ready to fly.

It is hot as hell and around the country, too, so if you see someone in uniform while out and about today, at a parade or concert, maybe think about offering them some water.
