This is blowback from trying to idiot proof the thing, trying to head off those viral "I plugged claude directly into my production code and it deleted everything" posts. They've probably got something in the system prompt about not permanently deleting stuff instantly.
Also skill issue on this guy's part, "you work for me" doesn't convince humans and it won't convince an AI either. Funny, you actually need language skills to use a large language model. If you're cursed with autism and still don't know how to code just end it all.
They should bring back the ability for Claude to delete stuff, it’s basically programmer eugenics when these idiots give it full access to everything and set very broad parameters. The stories are funny, too!
