I'm reading a book about the folklore used to make Scooby Doo. It's appropriately named Zoinks. I'm enjoying it, but the writing is a bit distracted. Lots of asides with two or three paragraphs.
Anyway, in the first chapter it covers the characters. Velma is covered and there's a whole section dedicated to her being a lesbian. There's a single movie that has her fall in love with a DEI Mary Sue. Good animation but that part of the story ruins it. The book talks about how they tried to make her gay several instances before, but were stopped by Warner Bros execs. The original live action movie was supposed to have a kiss and then the Mystery Incorporated was hinting at it.
In fact, the creators of MI said that the reason why Velma was such a bad girlfriend was because she was actually gay. She was supposed to fall in love with a different character, but WB stopped it.
The movie was supposed to have a kiss between Daphne and Velma. Again Warner Bros stopped it.
So, by the looks of it, the talent has been trying to do this for literal decades. Until 2020, the execs stopped it because they wanted to sell their product. So, unless there's a executive who stops it, the official cannon is that nerds are gay.
While reductive, it's not entirely wrong...
They basically fall into the categories of:
They all fall into the category of
I'll add
Many fit into more than one category
Okay yeah, this one here is very common these days. Was watching some stupid wench give her testimony -- she's now in her 40s, and spent all her youth as a lesbian because all her friends were faggots and convinced her she was a faggot and got her to watch some faggot shows and it turned her on so she started engaging in the faggot lifestyle.
She eventually realised she was living a degenerate life and came out of it and NOW wants to find a good man to settle down with, but man she was foolish for buying into that stupidity and wasting 20 years of her life being a faggot whore.
