Remember how costumes and character colors used to be things you just unlocked by playing the game? Yeah, now every one of those is a $5 transaction.
I cannot remember the last time that a AAA game actually delivered enough to warrant its price point. Plenty of games from smaller devs have stepped up and given me worthwhile products for my money, but the industry juggernauts are all slowly sinking into the ocean of dross.
