I'd probably argue back a bit that most American stadiums don't even have the facility available for everyone there to neatly dispose of their trash as it would just massively overflow the bins with the expectation that trash is left at the seat.

Granted, I tend to like the Japanese way better, and there's also a line between leaving a neat pile of easily picked up trash at a seat and absolutely abhorrently trashing the place.
