There's a bunch of causes for this shit, but yeah, the existence of women in game dev has obviously triggered intrasexual competition with their own fictional depictions of women. Healthy men create aspirational male characters that represent the highest ideals of masculinity. Feminist women self-insert in order to lower the bar until they themselves can clear it.

Put another way: there's no reality in which you have a bunch of woke women - or one tranny - on your dev team and they don't demand you uglify your female characters in the name of "realism". We even had confirmation of literal campaigns for woke character archetypes within Naughty Dog leading up to TLOU2. That's what activist devs do.
