Are they at least going to pick stocks with good old fashioned insider trading and actually make a profit? Or do the taxpayers get to be the bagholders?

Not just bagholders, the government would have more influence on whether they get a direct tap on the data people are feeding it, and what the government gets to do with the LLM, without even having to make something as public as a law requiring it.
