But I get why the asshole cop did what he did. I dont know if he knew the kid was gonna die, but he didnt even give him the benefit of the doubt which is sad. He completely assumed he was faking and that was it.
The issue is, when most people are stabbed, they dont calmly sit there trying to cling to dear life, They freak out. This guy was incredibly stoic and I think that contributed to this asshole letting him die like a stuck pig on the ground. It reminds me of the video of the zebra in ohio nearly clipping a mans arms off and hes like, yeah the dang zebra nearly bit my arm off. Adrenaline is a hell of a thing.
Do I think the officer should be punished, 100%. If someone claims they are stabbed your first priority shouldnt be to handcuff them and accuse them of lying.
It reminds a bit of when I was poisoned and the doctors just assume I would be ok. I was not. Its been almost a year now, still nothing from endocrinology or nephrology. I think I give up.
I asked the doctor if he could try to hurry up the bone scan and he says. "Ive got elderly patients with osteoporosis who need a bone scan more than you."
Like 6 years of elevated parathyroid hormone and low phosphorous doesnt mean I very likely dont have bone loss. Doctors are criminal nincompoops too. I have some severe trauma on top of the chemical poisoning. Anytime a doctor or even a cop approaches me, my body views it as a threat. I had the cops shining lights in my windows a few months back looking for the neighbor. I didnt sleep well for days.
No, he was literally seconds from bleeding out. All the cop had to do is look at his hands, while cuffing him, to see that they were white because, again, he was bleeding out.
I'll give the cops a pass for the actual death because there was more than likely nothing they, personally, could have done but that's not the issue.
The Southampton police received a call nearly an hour prior saying someone was stabbed and did nothing. They got a call from the family, after staging the crime scene, about "muh racism" and were there in 10 minutes. That's what let Henry die; literal systemic racism against the British people in favour of foreigners.
These cops did violate the very simple procedures though. They were required to assess the bleeding person even if he was the culprit. So long as he wasn't actively resisting, they were obliged to check his status & wounds. They did not even look at his wounds. They cuffed him and dragged him as he screamed in pain. They continued to "read his rights" even after he'd clearly lost consciousness. Only then did they consider that he might actually be telling the truth. No call for an ambulance came until after he'd stopped breathing.
The one mitigating fact that gives them a TINY bit of grace is that he'd been removed from the actual crime scene. The expected trails & puddles of blood were elsewhere. Still? What they did was criminal. They all should get 2x the sentence Coven did, especially since he followed procedures to the letter.
I know this is going to be a unpopular opinion.

You can't act like panicking animal when your lung is collapsing from the stab wound and bleeding out
