Haha, yeah honestly I was probably commenting on the gamer tax mostly. That goes way back, so many things branded gam1ng (gotta get those numbers in there) and such started in the early 2000s. My standing desk was $600 I think the Ikea one that is really close to that especially with the mods I did under it to hold stuff and it sit/stand.
I like Herman Miller chairs alright enough, I've had them at work in the past. The real secret to a chair is discarded office supply. I've had this $50 Steelcase Leap I bought from some guy that cleans out office remodels for at least ten years now. It's still so solid, and I've abused it. I do need to replace the height tube, which seems easy enough but I'm going to have to figure out some way to get the old one out, it's really stuck in there.
