I uninstalled that shit when this topic was first being threatened by them. Haven't even thought about it until now. Most of my friends stuck around but, as I get older, I guess I just enjoy games solo now, to be honest. Competitive games aren't even fun anymore due to the density of cheaters and people without lives/jobs.
It just sucks that every forum group moved to discord instead of keeping forums going or creating newer ones when the old get overly censored. If this goes any further. I'm just going to only go to this site and a couple news sites, otherwise no more internet.
I think that started it for me quitting all of that now too. I mean how do you even dare to compete against someone who that game is their entire life? That seems to have become normal now. I don't know when this culture of obsession became such a thing or maybe I just never noticed. I'm not one to really judge anyone for liking something as long as it isn't just totally immoral (e.g. pedos, faggots, niggerism, etc) but with a key caveat that it one niche cannot be the core of your identity. Be well rounded.

Add to that the Skinner-box mechanics that are baked into "matchmaking" to drive you to keep playing and buying microtransactions.
