I said exactly this yesterday somewhere on YouTube and got a ton of reees from a lot of butthurt jeetbots.

The old character models still look totally fine. Yeah, the game’s a bit dated now, but it takes all of 5 mins of gameplay before your brain stops giving a fuck about graphics etc and you’re just playing a video game and don’t care anymore.

And the newer character models all look too “clean” for a bunch of pirates. The older designs at least have some grit to them.

The best thing about this remake is that I still have a physical copy of the original that I can go back to whenever I want.
