It's the why comparison that's confusing me.

Obviously a contested primary is going to have more votes than an uncontested one (Haley was toast well before Kentucky voted in 2024).

KY had around 13% turnout in its 2024 primary so I'd expect Massie vs Gallrein to be more than double. Is the weirdness that it was only double?
