It looks like it's in a square "inset" on the side of the can. Where they usually put the logo. How'd they find an SS sticker that fit so perfectly? And managed to stay on the can?
They could have trimmed it, yes. But usually these sorts of idiots aren't that smart, they just slap it on, oversized or not.
Yes it's a brand-new can, so no oily film all over it yet.
As to why it's "presented" like that? The cops took it out of the car for safety reasons. Probably.

You're telling me that a company produces SS Stickers of that specific size on purpose to stick on gas cans?
I find that very hard to believe.
Maybe the logo-square is a nice even number & there's stickers with the same dimensions? But Nazi stickers intended for one type gas can? Nah.
I could make that right now, I have the software, the hardware, and the materials for it. Hell I could press a shirt with that entire picture on it. You can acquire these things for around four to six hundred dollars.
Oh I have no doubt it's widely available & can also be made fairly easily at home. I'm just wondering how it fit in there so neatly. Maybe a fraction of an inch off on the bottom.
Could just be a common size or sheer coincidence too.
