Yup.
Takes about thirty seconds to look up the definition of provocation and guess what? You're still wrong.
There is absolutely nothing in the initial reports to suggest mutual combat, neither one fucked the other guy's wife, and neither one welched on a bet, etc, etc.
Being insulted does not justify attempted murder and it doesn't not nullify the self defense claims of the person you attacked. That is the law.
