What do you think about all this stuff that's supposedly being released about alleged UFOs?
Personally I don't think we are lucky enough for alien catgirls to be real, but one can hope.

Well, if you'd have said in 1500 that within 400 years there'd be huge machines flying through the air? People would have laughed. A single bomb that could destroy an entire city? Lolz!
So it could be possible. If Aliens have indeed visited here? Then it likely is possible, otherwise it's a 2000 year one-way trip.
It is probable that intelligent Aliens exist, but can they get smart enough to cross those vast distances? That's the bigger question. Even radio contact at those distances is highly unlikely.
That's a good point too: why even travel to another planet to exterminate a species? Just lob a gigantic hunk of rock at them. It doesn't even need to come from another solar system (like in Starship Troopers) there's ample supplies here! Send an unmanned probe, push a 10-mile+ rock a little and presto! Human race effectively destroyed.
Yeah I don't know they would say that.
Michelangeloda Vinci drew flying machines. Archimedes made a death ray to burn ships at sea. Alchemists were doing weird fire stuff. If we know aliens are here then we say, well how did they get here? We don't say I bet there's super fast travel so that aliens can get here.
Those old-time guys were one-offs. For every Di Vinci there was 1000 who claimed it could never be done. Didn't they draw gliders or balloons? There's always more scientists toeing the "status quo" line over ruffling feathers.
Also: Archimedes discovered Pi (Tau, which is 2x Pi) 2200 years ago but it was lost.
If the Aliens are visiting? Then it's highly probably they have some sort of FTL drive or "space folding" mechanism. Or, like I said, they could be long-lived (1000 year journey? Like 2-3 years to us) or send generational ships. It seems much more likely they'd send un-manned probes though, without FTL.
