Everyone here calls everyone they don't like a faggot and tells them to go suck dicks. The only way for there not to be rivalries is to ban anyone who doesn't gamely agree with everyone else.
Sure. I'm a gamer, I'm interested in where gaming's going, I don't like the direction it's taken over the last twelve years, I have plenty of thoughts on that.
Most of the people on the board are just contributing "I hate Joos," and you seem totally fine with that level of meaningfulness.
People have outre opinions here, but board moderation only comes in for violence and inciting personal conflict. For whatever reason, you're keenly interested in doing the latter.
Yes, people call each other faggots. I've been called a faggot several times. But I don't go on a crusade to change the board culture. You realize you're not going to accomplish that, right?
You're obviously very tilted right now. I'm just giving you a warning. If you keep it up you'll get a week to cool off. I honestly don't know why you want to post here so badly, but however you want to play it, I guess.
2014 was an interesting year. I watched Sarkeesian. I agreed with about 55% of what she was saying and thought 45% was just bullshit that played to her crowd. I played Depression Quest before GamerGate even happened. I gave it a 6 on Metacritic. I said "Won't change your life, but it costs $2, and it's value for money, because it definitely wasn't something I've already played before, and creativity is good."
Then I got like 900 downvotes for my review of a two dollar game, and I was like what the living fuck is happening here.
I found the original KiA. I had plenty of spirited debates. I took the stance that it was okay to critique video games; it's the same thing Roger Ebert did for movies; it's ultimately just proof that we're looking at art.
Then I found out that I was about 60% wrong. The industry didn't stop at critique. It stripped games of everything edgy; it rejected the idea of the power fantasy as wrong; it fucking erased breasts from existence.
So I had to eat some crow. Except then, to my surprise, the original GamerGaters were saying they didn't even want tits and rape and slavery in their games. They were like: "I'm too old for that. I just don't want nigger or femoid protagonists and I don't want Joos in the industry."
Which, wow, that's been quite a turn, hasn't it. I can't help but feel like no one has managed to keep their eye on the ball. Like one segment of GamerGate got shamed into total compliance, while the other segment aren't even fucking gamers, they just want to kill the Joos and they took over the community.
It's - it's worth talking about, but of course people are gonna call me a faggot for talking about it, and if you're gonna ban me for calling them a faggot back, I don't know, I don't know you. I have no information. You probably shouldn't ban me for telling people calling me a faggot that they suck cocks. But maybe you will. Let's find out.

That your bag, Shadow?
Do you feel like you're contributing something meaningful to the board?
