CNN founder Ted Turner, a pioneer of cable TV news, dies at 87 | CNN
Ted Turner, the media maverick and philanthropist who founded CNN, a pioneering 24-hour network that revolutionized television news, died peacefully Wednesday, surrounded by his family, according to a news release from Turner Enterprises. He was 87.
On the good side he founded TCM and owned WCW. Even though TCM now does the stupid discussions “analyzing” anything that is seen as offensive but they still show the movies uncut
He also created Captain Planet, which had the decency of being original woke slop instead of subverting an established IP.
True.
I guess that balances it further, I love pro wrestling!
Same although now I I mainly watch older wrestling content (80s through early 00s).
I've been following SmackDown! recently, and so far I am enjoying the Kit Wilson, the Miz, and Danhausen storyline. Kit Wilson's crusade against "Toxic masculinity" is very clearly a facade to cover his own insecurities and ego, ironically making him more "Toxic" than the other wrestlers in the locker room. The Miz is already an established heel, with an outspoken personality, who says what is on his mind. Danhausen on the other hand, is a little imp who enjoys finding ways to thwart the former two, and to entertain the "Fanhausens"
I watch the highlights and keep up with the news. Miz does a good job at being a heel. You have a favorite wrestler all time? Mine is Hogan.
