The Charter doesn't even need to be abolished because it's meaningless so long as the "notwithstanding" clause exists. Not even worth the paper it's printed on, but what else would you expect from Trudeau Sr?
The notwithstanding clause is the best thing about the Charter. Protects from activist judges.
Section 1 is what makes it meaningless because it says the rest can be ignored if you come up with a decent excuse.
