Returnal is one of the best examples of woke retards needlessly sabotaging a potentially big game. Imagine choosing a hachet-faced middle-aged turbo cunt as the face of your hardcore bullet hell shooter with a AAA budget. You're already threading the needle with a niche genre and costly development, and then you opt for the least appealing protagonist possible? How many more units does Returnal sell if it had starred Eve (from Stellar Blade) instead of everyone's least favorite aunt? How much money did they leave on the table with that one unnecessary creative decision?

Fast forward to the sequel: Saros. Previews showed an honest-to-god male protagonist. And he's not even black or gay, maybe! Did these devs learn their lesson? Did someone with an ounce of sense reiterate the overwhelmingly male demographic makeup of their target audience? Is the western AAA video game industry finally responding to the harsh realities of our post-covid economy?
