This was a really stupid take because COD has been one of the best recruitment tools the military's ever had, especially when they had good storylines. Uncharitably, one could also say the same thing about the action movies Berg has done.

Gunship crew members have the highest cancer rates in the military.

Military recruiters haven't had any problems filling those roles with this line:

"Hey, you know those AC-130 missions in CoD? How'd you'd like to do that for real?"
