These days I wonder how much of that sort of sentiment is bot farms. There's definitely idiots out there who genuinely have that sort of take but I don't rule out the possibility that there's botted responses being generated solely to build up synthetic momentum to make it appear more popular and more acceptable so that it takes root in the weak minded ones who end up genuinely taking such a position.
