Note this is a summary of a book called The Technological Republic. It always comes back to technology with these dystopian visions. Take away that one brick and all their plans will fail.
Because they know their ideas simply don't work. The "technogy" is the magic pill that fixes all the flaws in their fundamental premise.
"People chose their gender" is obviously nonsense unless you could somehow alter innate characteristics.
Right, it enables unnatural abominations as well as amplifying power and power should always be decentralized in small quantities
