Here is a summary of the video "The Curse of Eve: The Biblical Origins of Feminism" by Basic Logic:

This video presents a theological argument interpreting Genesis 3:16, asserting that modern feminism is a direct manifestation of the "Curse of Eve." The creator argues that society's current enablement of this "curse" leads to individual misery and societal degradation.

Key Points of the Video:

The Translation of the Curse: The creator compares different Bible translations (NIV vs. ESV) of Genesis 3:16 regarding a woman's "desire" for her husband. By cross-referencing the original Hebrew word with Genesis 4:7, the creator argues the true translation means a desire "to control, to usurp, to dominate someone's authority" [01:49].

Feminism as Usurpation: Based on this translation, the video claims the curse is that women will inherently desire to usurp men's authority, but will never succeed because "men will always rule over them." The creator directly equates this drive to modern "egalitarian feminism" [02:13].

The "Illusion of Choice": The video argues that when a woman rejects the legitimate, protective authority of a husband or father, she ultimately submits to an "illegitimate authority" (like a corporate boss, a boyfriend, or cultural trends), operating under the illusion of freedom [02:53].

Societal Collapse: The creator claims that feminism is not a new concept and that historically, societies that attempt it follow a predictable pattern: plummeting birth rates, social turmoil, and an eventual "harsh masculine reaction" that leaves women with fewer freedoms [03:18].

Critique of Modern Culture: The video criticizes modern society for pitting girls against boys, portraying men as incompetent in media, reducing fatherhood to just providing a paycheck, and demeaning traditional female roles. It also claims that older, childless women preach empowerment to younger women simply because "misery loves company" [03:36].

Call to Action: The video concludes by urging viewers (presumably Christians) to stop attending churches that act as mere "affirmation sessions" and to prioritize biblical truth, no matter how offensive it might sound to modern sensibilities [04:16].

Let's go farther into jewish mysticism and talk about Lilith being the mother of demons. I bet she was way more of a feminist than Eve.

The text claims that God created Lilith and Adam at the same time, from the same earth. Lilith refused to be subservient to Adam (specifically refusing to lie beneath him during intercourse), arguing they were equals. When Adam tried to force her, she uttered the ineffable name of God and flew away. Three angels (Senoy, Sansenoy, and Semangelof) were sent to retrieve her, but she refused to return, cementing her role as a demon who harms infants.

The Zohar: The foundational work of Kabbalah pairs Lilith with Samael (the angel of death or Satan). She is depicted as the embodiment of the "other side" (the Sitra Achra or evil realm), a seductress of men, and a punisher of sins.

Women decided just having their curse wasn’t enough, they also want to partake in the punishment of men as well!

Not trying to proselytize, just something funny in the bible

I like the Gnostic take. Feminine = Power and Masculine = Illumination (Knowledge). Woman ate fruit because women wanted power = feminine. God punishes humans out of fear from this power. Material reality is designed specifically to be unideal as a form to oppress men and women. Although, we know the ideal (deep down) many are unable to live it because of this unideal reality God creates for us.

Even then, didn't Sophia perform the big oopsie woopsie fucky wucky? She tried to create something without her divine partner, hence why the material world is incomplete. The demiurge is born out of ignorance, not malice... or something

Correct because she represents power without illumination. The feminine is ignorant and powerful. The masculine is knowledgeable but lacks the power of women. It is an apt take of men and women today. The idea of men being more powerful than women isn't what our reality is. Stronger in the material world sure but women have always had far more power than men in relationship dynamics which is even more apparent when men's physical strength is oppressed by government.

Powerful as Tiamat being slain by Marduk

Well, to be fair. Power without the knowledge to use it doesn't tend to lead to good outcomes despite the power.

The masculine is both power and illumination, but only when the masculine walk the path of Enkidu before he was corrupted by Gilgamesh can this power be harnessed.

The path of Enkidu (brahmacharya) make the power of women over men obsolete. And let's not even speak of the P spot that make the pleasure men can get from women obsolete. Men are self sufisant if they discover all their secrets

The power of men is immense, the reason why porn is free is to be sure men will be as far away to the path of Enkidu as possible.

It's astounding how the modern feminized cults gloss over the actual wisdom presented in the pagan/heterodox mythologies being revived. In the general Gnostic traditions, Sophia isn't a villain neither is she an exemplar of flawless virtue. It's an atrocious apropritaion when progressive Christian churches idolize the feminine aspects of Gnosticism and strip away any nuance from Christian orthodoxy or esoteric cynicism in the process.

I think the tangible, contemporary parallel isn't modern feminists, but deep knowledge unleashed without superhuman constraint. Nuclear science, or fiat currency. Sophia dangerously delved into the nature of what came before, and resulted in the material world. An admirable goal, compromised by imperfect execution.

Ancient Greek Religion has more wisdom regarding women than anything the bible offers. Christians talk about the Garden of Eden and Fruit as if it's profound but the Greeks had Pandora.

Prometheus has stolen the gift of fire, and has given it to the humans. Zeus is angry about this and decides to punish men, as a compensation for the gift. He commands Hephaestus to make the first woman from earth. This woman is described as a "beautiful evil" whose descendants would torment the race of men.

From her is the race of women and female kind: of her is the deadly race and tribe of women who live amongst mortal men to their great trouble, no helpmates in hateful poverty, but only in wealth.

Finally, Hermes gives this woman a name: Pandora – "All-gifted" – "because all the Olympians gave her a gift" (81).[6] The story is written in such a way that Pandora's feminine and deceitful nature is a small problem for mankind, because she brings a pithos. This word is usually translated as jar, sometimes as a box.[7][8] The box contains "burdensome toil and sickness that brings death to men" (91–2), diseases (102) and "a myriad other pains" (100).

Prometheus had warned his brother Epimetheus not to accept any gifts from Zeus. But Epimetheus did not listen; he accepted Pandora, who promptly scattered the contents of her jar. As a result, Hesiod tells us, "the earth and sea are full of evils" (101). One item, however, did not escape the jar (96–9), hope:

Only Hope was left within her unbreakable house, she remained under the lip of the jar, and did not fly away. Before [she could], Pandora replaced the lid of the jar. This was the will of aegis-bearing Zeus the Cloudgatherer.

And people try to pretend the nature of women is pure and it's modern feminism that ruined women. Women are the same as they always have been, it's just in the past men used their superior strength to keep women inline and now the government throws you in prison if you try to do this.

I was literally just teaching my daughters this last night. Because of the curse, women's temptation is to take charge and men's temptation is to abdicate. Men must be strong leaders and lean in and women must be good followers and encourage their husbands to step up.

Imagine blaming the degredation of society on the half of the population that never grows bigger or stronger than boys in grade school.

Like children, women are perpetually dissatisfied and wanting more than they have; that's just what they do. Men should understand this and act accordingly.
