As soon as a war comes to threaten my family, friends, home, and life, I'll fight. I couldn't care less about fighting for Israel, Ukraine, or anything else on the other side of the war. If Iran gets a nuke and fires it even in the direction of the US, make the crater that used to be Iran so large that the oil is just out in the open as swimming pools. If any foreign land invades my country physically, then may they be mowed down with such aggression that Normandy looked like some children on a playground in comparison.

If all those sand monkeys want to blow each other up for their false ideas of God in the meantime, let them. Europe can have NATO back, and if they can't keep blowing each other up over which one of them is the most trans, let them.

Otherwise, I wouldn't have much of an objection to a short-term required service to country requirement, but only when American foreign policy is about defense of the US home land, first, foremost, and generally only with a particular emphasis on not giving a shit about what goes on sandland.
