In canada, if you dare to earn 250k, every single penny will be taxed at 60%. not kidding. 54% max taxes + various fees for social programs/deductions.

This in effect means that if you work monday to friday, you work monday, tuesday and wednesday 100% for the government. And of course you still need to pay sales taxes, various taxes ("accise taxes"), etc
