This isn't news. Economists have pointed out for decades that substituting daycare for women caring for their own children results in an illusory increase in GDP.
It's not just that. The entire global financial system is one massive scam.
It's been smoke and mirrors since 2008 at the very latest. Back when there was media that pretended to have integrity they were pointing out that all the "job growth" under Bathhouse Barry were worthless mcjobs. The part they left out is that even those were mostly going to foreigners.
