I have a similiar sentiment going for a long while now.

No one is taking anything seriously, everything is offensive but also everyone has no idea what you're talking about. It's almost as if being honest is somehow percieved as being weak or pathethic. If you somehow manage to corner someone into reflection they respond with "I was just pretending to be retarded". It really does feel like west has developed some Izzat/Mianzi mentality.

Past a certain point, performative retardation is functionally no different from geniuine retardation.
