Just FYI, to unban a user we have to manually enter the username and click unban. It's most likely that whoever tried to unban you just introduced a typo and it didn't work.

But maybe that worked out for the best if you're sending a modmail reply and crashing out on an alt 5 hours later, because nobody had fixed it yet in the quiet hours. That is not a good way to prove you weren't actually banned with good reason.
