There are four major professional sports leagues in America.
Three of them have salary caps. Including the only one that is predominantly white.
The only American pro sports league without a salary cap is Major League Baseball. The only reason this works? Baseball is the highest variance sport. So a massive salary advantage doesn't translate to an insurmountable on-field advantage. But MLB is still suffering from a severe lack of parity, and this in turn has harmed the long-term success of the league.
If salary caps were removed from football or basketball, those sports would become utter disasters in terms of competitive balance. No small or medium market teams would ever win again, those fanbases would quickly tune out, and those teams would subsequently fold. How many black basketball players are going to get paid in a league with eight teams?
Anyways, no one is shocked by these player statements. Athletes are notoriously mentally retarded, and black athletes are the worst of the bunch because they mix in victimhood politics (while being some of the highest paid people on the planet).
By the way, the NBA salary cap is a percentage of total revenue. So when the league makes more money, the players make more money. It's literally just profit sharing. So everything Jalen Rose is saying doesn't even apply to his own league.
