There are only a few indie games I wholeheartedly recommend to people that aren't some trash cash-crabs, and those are
Forgive Me Father 2
BeamNG.Drive
Ruiner (a sequel is coming, and it looks great)
Midnight Fight Express
Everything else is usually meh, okayish, or eurojank.
Now I'll support a lot of eurojank, just to put dosh in the hole-filled trousers of a Slav, but it's mostly so they can build a functional, proper sequel for their next outing (or get bought out doing so, like what happened with SpinTires/Mudrunner).
